Campaign Story

Hello, friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters,

We are Mia and Liz, a devoted couple on a journey to fulfill our dream of becoming parents. Our love story began in the hospital where we both work—Mia in security and myself as an X-ray tech. Fate brought us together in the halls of patient care, and I later proposed to Mia in the ambulance bay (link to the YouTube short at the end of this!). Now, we are ready to take the next step in our journey: growing our family.

We share our home with three beloved cats, who have filled our lives with joy and comfort. But now, we dream of giving them a human sibling to watch over and grow alongside. Becoming a parent has been my greatest aspiration since I was 15 when my youngest sister was born. That experience changed my life, inspiring me to push forward through every challenge and build the stable, loving home I’ve always wanted to provide for a child.

However, the path to parenthood is not always simple. Like many LGBTQ+ couples, we require reproductive assistance to conceive. We have chosen intrauterine insemination (IUI) as our path forward, a process that often requires multiple attempts and comes with significant medical costs. The funds raised will go directly toward fertility clinic bills, covering consultations, procedures, and any necessary treatments along the way.

Mia and I have faced struggles, particularly with Mia’s health, but through perseverance and a commitment to a healthier lifestyle, we continue to grow stronger together. We know that parenthood will come with its own challenges, but we are more than ready to embrace them with love, dedication, and open hearts.
